Zipper Slot Tip

We love zipper pockets in our handbags, and a perfect slot zipper is a great detail that raises your bag from homemade to handmade. To get that crisp look, interface your zipper pocket pieces as well as your bag body pieces. After you've stitched your rectangle and turned your pocket bag, press those tiny seam allowances open with the tip of your iron. Then press the opening flat with a bit of steam. A hardwood clapper will give you an ultra-flat finish.
